Quick Overview

This estate has belonged to the SCEA M&C Quancard ever since its creation in the early 20th century (when it went under the name of CRU LATOUR SAINT JOSEPH). The Château is located on the highest point of the commune of Cissac, an ideal position for this Cru Bourgeois, ordered to the north-east by Saint-Estèphe and by Pauillac to the south-east. The exposure, the choice of the grape varieties, the care lavished on modern vinification and the traditional ageing in new oak barrels all go to help the crafting of an outstanding wine.

Tasting Notes
A deep, purple colour. A complex nose combining the aromas of dark and citrus fruit, dried flowers and burnt wood. On the palate, the wine is generous and concentrated, with magnificent round, ripe tannins. A rich, full-bodied finish with a delicate touch of woodiness. A truly delicious full bodied red wine.
Bordeaux
“He who aspires to be a serious wine drinker, must drink Claret” Samuel Johnson (1709 – 1784) The history of wine production in Bordeaux dates back to when the Romans settled in St. Émilon and immediately established vineyards to gratify the Bacchanalian inclinations of their troops. The traditions and established practices of the vineyards of Bordeaux span several centuries. The main wine growing districts extend along the left and right bank of the Gironde estuary and its tributaries, the Garonne and the Dordogne. The white wine producing district of Entre-Deux-Mers is so called because it lies between the latter two rivers. The whole region, with its districts further divided into small communes, has a fascinating history to relate.
