Quick Overview

J.P. Chenet’s success is not the fruit of chance, but closely tied to the brand’s capacity to innovate. Since its launch in 1984, the brand has strived to distinguish itself from the traditional image of French wine and adapted its offering to the needs of consumers well before the emergence of the “French paradox”. Above all the watchword of our innovation policy is to continually adapt and even anticipate market changes and renew year after year while never ignoring the fruits of our experience.

Languedoc
The history of Languedoc wines can be traced to the first vineyards planted along the coast near Narbonne by the early Greeks in the fifth century BC. Along with parts of Provence, these are the oldest planted vineyards in France. The region of Languedoc has belonged to France since the thirteenth century and the Roussillon was acquired from Spain in the mid-seventeenth century. The two regions were joined as one administrative region in the late 1980s.
